Life through little squares

Life through little squares
Hello there Beauties and Cuties of the Blogosphere! :ballerina:
I’m so happy that it’s Saturday and that I can finally start reading all the blog posts I missed! Since I got the new computer my rss reader doesnt work anymore and I haven’t found a suitable replacement for it yet but I will find one now. The last few weeks have all been quite similar and my awful time management makes it difficult to do the things I like besides uni.
What definitely lifts my mood though is the sunny yet almost warm weather we’ve been having the last few days. Spring officially started and instead of snowing it’s finally raining again! I love the smell of wet soil especially in spring because it doesn’t smell so much like asphalt as during summer. Snowdrops have started to pop up and I wake up by the chirping birds. But I guess you’ve all been experiencing the same lovely aspects of spring. That is if you live in the northern hemisphere. :catexclam:

:sprout: 1. bye bye old mac book, I already miss you! :sprout: 2. Beef with vegetables and rice – ok but not good :sprout: 3. noodles with beef and veggies – not very good :sprout: 4. me, derping around 5. Bought my first dvd in years :sprout: 6. Are you ready for the instagram rush? I’ve assambled quite the collection during the last months so here’s a little list of the past insta entries.

It’s funny how the amount of pictures slowly increased and I admit that I’m an avid instagram user. I like to look at the past snap shots and to remember moments and places I had forgotten about. How about you? Do you often take pictures with your phone? It’s obviously more fun if your phone has a good cam and I’m so glad I upgraded to an iphone. It’s not that I like how they work but the cam is totally worth it (at least for me :tanoshii: ). I must be quite obsessed with it.. :etone:

Zermatt in an instant

Zermatt in an instant
Hello there Lovelies :nekopaw:
How are you doing? I’ve completely lost track of uni but soon it will start again and I’m afraid that I forgot all the Kanji I learned. :jupp: Hope I can study a little in the coming two weeks. I’ve never been on holiday for such a long time and Im not sure whether I invested my free time cleverly… well I still have some time left to do some useful things.
Right now I’m still in Zermatt and enjoying some sunny weather and lots of snow and snowboarding. I’ve been snowboarding for ten years now but I’m thinking about going back to skiing. Or rather do both?! Anyway, winter sports are a lot of fun and in Switzerland there are many opportunities and places to go. But Zermatt has always been my favourite winter resort and I wouldn’t want to miss the impressive view of the Matterhorn. You know, that mountain that has even its own chocolate brand?

Do you know Toblerone? It’s quite delicious!

I’ve been coming here since my birth and it always feels so cosy and good when I arrive in this little village. (well actually it’s getting bigger and bigger because they’ve been constantly building more cottages and hotels..) One special feature of Zermatt is, that there are no cars and therefore the air is pretty pure. It’s not that there arent’s any means of transportation but they’re all fueled with electricity!! Sounds pretty funny, doesn’t it? And of course there are old-fashioned carriages. Soooo romantic! But I have only been on one a long time ago when I was a kid.
Nough’ said. Here are the pics~

1. Me, hanging in a tree 2. Carriage for the fancy international guests of the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof
3. Best confectioner in Zermatt: Fuchs :sprout: 4. View from a slope

1. The mighty Matterhorn 2. Down there lies Zermatt 3. So devilishly coooooold! 4. Sight from the viewing point of the Gornegrat. Noticed how different the mountain looks from here?!

Sorry for the blurry insta pics but I wouldn’t want to risk my old and trusty Nikon while falling on my butt or worse. I hope I can make some decent shots on the last day or something.

1. Silvankun soaking in the sun 2. First day.. it was cold 3. Finally a little sun! 4. Swiss tools and a handyman

1. Rothorn 2. Captain Nekochan 3. Our boards 4. Ride~

1. Silvankun’s crazy hairstyle 2. Kiss! 3. Lovely view 4. One of the best hot chocolates evvver!

That’s it for now! I’ve still got some more pictures but I’ll upload them in a later entry… I hope you don’t mind! We still have four days left and afterwards I’ll go visiting my grandmother in Milan. I’m honestly so excited since I haven’t been there and haven’t seen her in a long time. But I love that city and I can’t wait to show you some impressions.

Take care cuties and stay tuned :on:

Instamood & Aztec scarf

Instamood & Aztec scarf
Yay! I wrote four whole entries last month… :sigh:
I can’t believe it’s already December! ..On the other side it’s always nice to have a blog entry on the first of the month, don’t you think?. Three more weeks to go and I’m a free person again! …or almost. I still have to hand in a paper until the 7th of January but I think I will manage that somehow. :etone: Right now I’m watching a movie and I’ve been procrastinating like this for too long. I’m afraid I will be incredibly busy with catching up on all that reading material I haven’t read yet. Sometimes I ask myself if I should have chosen biology and not history of art and Japanese but then again I would have to deal with some nasty math.. I want to get this first semester finally over with! :flyusagi: The last weeks before the holidays are so stressful. Anyway, I’ve been taking lots of insta pics lately so here we go~

:sprout:

On our way to Regensdorf (that’s where I took the Purikura pictures) we stopped because I wanted to take pictures in the corn field I had seen from the car window. I’m not even sure if it’s an authentic Aztec pattern but it definitely doesn’t look nordic. So when we passed the beautiful corn fields I just had to ask Silvankun to take some pictures of me with that scarf. Sorry for the serious face… I love the pattern and colors but it’s huuuge! It could almost pass as a blanket… :jupp:
Neko in the corn field

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last Bento entry! :miam: I haven’t done any the last weeks but I will definitely do one when I have more time again. Does anyone know where to get an affordable Magewappa or wooden Bento box? Maybe I should wish for on this xmas. :klimper: Also, there’s nekoblog’s 3th 2nd… anniversary coming up but I don’t know if I should do a giveaway yet. If I do one however, it will be after the official date so I can choose something cool!
