The Season of the Witch

The Season of the Witch
Hi there Pumpkins! :etone:
It’s Saturday and I’m finally able to write an entry! :jupp: Friday morning I had to get up at 6am (compared to other students who have to get up at 4am it’s nothing but still..) and after a funny tram ride with two classmates and other people I almost got out at the wrong station and as I arrived at the university ad after six weeks I still enter the wrong class room… Anyway, I hope my classmates don’t think strange things about me but I’m afraid it’s already too late and that they’ve already labeled me as weirdo. :bang:
The good thing about Friday is that after the two lessons from 8am to 10am the next two days are freedom! Or at least I pretend it’s freedom but actually uni makes it almsot impossible to relaxe even for one single day. So what’s exactly the point of this entry? Well actually I had in mind to show you the pics of the Japan Matsuri but I haven’t been through all the pictures yet and you know how meticulously I choose my pictures so please be patiet with me! :arigatou:

Sugar Skull Makeup

I’ve never been good at posting themed Bento or entries at the right time and as last year I don’t know if I’ll be able to make a Halloween Bento in time although I really really would like to… I don’t know why but somehow Halloween is kind of important to me maybe because it’s a spooky, funny, cosy and yummy time of the year. Pumpkins, witches, vampires, werewolves, ghosts and lots of delicious things to eat are totally what I love.
Nevertheless I never really understood if it’s custom to dress up spooky or just funny. Is it that adults dress up Western union money order funny and children spooky? Shoutout to all US Americans: Please enlighten me!!! :bling:
A makeup look I would definitely love to try is the sugar skull makeup above. I like it because it’s creepy but beautiful nevertheless and the many colors and different styles make every face look so individual! I have no Halloween party to attend this year but looking at inspirational and breathtaking makeup is still fun.

Broken Doll Makeup

The broken doll theme is pretty stunning too I think but it sure looks frightening with the huge eyes and eyelashes.. the heart-shaped lips are cute though! :klimper: I tried this look last year and I loved it but this year I would definitely go for the sugar skull makeup.

Gothic Beauty Makeup

Gothic Halloween makeup is elegant but sooo dramatic and I think it looks awesome!

So what are your plans for Halloween this year? Do you dress up funny and strange or creepy?

WIP or~ Week in pictures

WIP or~ Week in pictures
Hey there!
I’m trying to do a short week recap! Nothing special happened, just the usual nature and food pics.. My qualification exams take place tomorrow and I’m not very well prepared but I’m kind of used to it and will do my best as always! I still should go through some literature though so I’ll keep it short.

:sprout:
1. Ingredients for Piadine :blinkheart: We didn’t had the usual fillings such as rocket or grilled vegetables but it was delicious! The flatbread was a little thick so it took some time for our 1000W electric “grill” (that is actually thought for crepes :nope: ) to cook it but it worked..
2. My hair
3. Cereal biscuits with self-made strawberry jam… they tasted so sinfully good.. :miam:
4. Melon with Parma ham, a classic and so refreshing!!
5. Picture taken at a farm somewhere in Zurich
6. Ravioli with artichokes filling and asparaguses… so delicious :kitsune:

:sprout:
1. Beautiful Magnolia tree
2. My favourite beauty products of last week/month. The white one at the bottom is a Sensai cream which I love and can warmly recommend. The REN bodywash with seaweed smells so soft and refreshing, and I also got one with Moroccan Roses and an other with Neroli & Grapefruit, they were a christmas gift and I can use the gorgeous box as a brush case :bling: And last but totally not least, the hair spray the hairdresser reccomended me to buy for my short hair cut. I must say that it’s fantastic!! and with sea salt.. :eee: (sounds strange eh?) oh, and I forgot about the Japanese tsurutsuru face wash. I bought it in Moscow and it’s quite nice but after having tried Sensai there’s nothing anymore that knocks me off my feet.
3. Sakura blossoms.. but I like plum blossoms better :klimper:
4. Natto, very sticky and ropey fermented soy beans. The taste is ok but many people can’t stand it because of its smell. Decide for yourself but at least it’s supposed to be kind of good for you. :nyanyan:
5. Rose that grows near our vegetable patch in Italy

:sprout:
1. On the Splügen pass close to the border to Italy with Nina. There’s still some snow left and summer in the Alps, is really short but soon there will hundreds of different flowers blooming all over the place..
2. Happy with my new heart-shaped glasses! I bought them at the airport in Moscow..
3. Marguerites.. they always remind me of Alice in Wonderland :hehe:
4. Yes, it’s full of roses there and one is more beautiful than the other..
5. Our vegetable patch!!! yaaay! They’re growing really fast and strong!
6. A room of our house in Italy

As you may noticed, I made most of the pictures with my cell phone… My cam is finally dying, or at least that’s my impression. I’m thinking about selling the Lumix which I don’t really like and use and to buy the Nikon D7000 but for now my phone will have to do.. Wish me luck for tomorrow sunshines!! And have a sunny and magnificient weekend! And if you’re having exams too right now, I wish you all good luck and a clear head!!

Nekochan’s Pirate Treasure

Nekochan’s Pirate Treasure
I think I’ve never showed you a picture of my room or other personal things but there’s always a first time. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
What do you do when you’re on holidays but it’s cold and rainy outside? Well you could go to the mall and do some shopping or watch a movie at the cinema but I decided to fulfill one of the points I mentioned in my Summer To Do List and tidied up my dresser. Not the things that are inside the dresser but the things that are on top of it. I use the surface as an additional shelf space for my girly stuff, namely jewellery, nail polish and hairbands but also decorative things such as stones, shells, boxes and other stuff. :bling:

I always start doing such things on impulse so I dodn’t think about doing a before/after shoot but I tried something with the settings of the cam a few days ago and luckily took a random picture of my drawer. I’m so excited guys!! I’ve never shown such personal things on my blog.. :oh:
It’s funny to see them here!
The drawer was so full with weird things that didn’t belong there! I used it as an opportunity to throw away many beauty things I would never use again in my life.. It feels so good! :aiyo:

What kind of yewellery do you like? Do you also prefer silver over gold? For me a necklace, bracelet, ring or pendant should be something unique that nobody else has. I’ve always liked my jewellery because for me every piece has its history and meaning. Most of the things you see are presents I got from my mother over the years. There are many necklaces I didn’t like at all when I got them as a present but I usually started to love every single one of them after one or two years.

As you can see, I definitely prefer silver over gold and my collection is rather unusual.. :miam: It’s not very girly at all and I think it incorporates my character pretty well. Did you think I had pink bows and glitter everywhere? *nyahahaha*
Well, I kind of found a new category to write about: personal stuff
The only thing is, that there is only a limited amount photo worthy stuff but I’m looking forward to my next personal stuff entry nevertheless..
Perfumes, nail polishes, cosmetics or shoes.. we’ll see! I hope I can make a Bento this week but if not, I’ll surprise you with something else!

Stay tuned Lovelies!
