Shake Dreams from your Hair

Shake Dreams from your Hair
After sleeping for two weeks on a modest air mattress in a small tent I’m justifiably happy to have my bed back. The bedroom is something quite important to me and I think most people feel the same about it. It’s a place where you can retire and dream about whatever you like. In the past the area around my bed and anyway my whole bedroom was very personalised and enchanting. I love plants, quilted blankets, cute boxes, beautiful curtains and natural elements like wood, moss and water. I even had a small room fountain with plants on my desk. I loved my mosquito net and all the cute stuff I received or collected throughout time was spread around my room.

I can’t say I don’t like these kind of things anymore but since I’m living together with my boyfriend and we share our bedroom I naturally didn’t want to impose my taste too much on him. Actually there are more of his things in our bedroom and I think he wouldn’t mind if I added something a little girlish to the room. Fortunately I like it clean and simple (at least most of the time) and this with a family full of crazies who love to collect antiques until they don’t know where to put them anymore..:hehe:

But as the season change my preferences change with them and for fall and winter I like cosy and mystical interiors. Although I would never change for example our long, white cotton curtains for velvet ones I would love to add a little bit of an enchanting touch to our rooms.:twinkles:

I’m not quite sure how I am going to do this since it is really easy to make something look kitschy and I don’t like kitsch. The pictures of bedrooms I found on the internet were pretty inspiring and I can’t wait for fall and winter to begin and have lazy sunday mornings in bed with hot or cold chocolate and movies :blinkheart:. I’ll miss summer but since there wasn’t a real summer this year here in Switzerland and it seems as if the chance for some hot days is tiny, I’m just looking forward to fall and winter! (although it is going to be a really though semester at school). Anyway I try to keep my life as entertaining and beautiful as possible.. You only live twice!

bist Du schon aus dem Urlaub zurück gekommen?

Ich finde das erste Bett toll. Natur pur! Wäre vielleicht eine gute Geschäftsidee. :-D

Ich wollte Dich noch was fragen. Ich finde Deine bento toll. Besonders in diese süße Bären bin ich sehr verliebt.
