Of flowers and dresses

Of flowers and dresses
Hey there Cuties! :hionigiri:
It’s been a while again, hasn’t it? Thank you so much for the encouraging and honest comments on my last entry. Well not on the Bento part but on the uni related stuff I wrote. I was really touched and especially your comment, mishberries, :bling: made me smile and think a lot. I’m so lucky to have few but really caring readers writing such awesome comments!
I feel kind of guilty though, that I haven’t more to show you than some flower pics..

These were flowers growing in the countryside two weeks ago~

I’m actually really into flowers and plants, but then again, who isn’t?! Every year I discover a flower that I didn’t knew before and I get all excited..
Uni hasn’t really gotten a lot better but today sweet Laurita :hoshi: visited me to go through some exam stuff. Well actually she did all the work because I was too unorganized to be of any help..
ありがとう~ :ii:
nyaaaa what can I tell you… my life at the moment revolves pretty much about trying to learn Japanese and East asian history of art. Today I had a rather tense talk with my professor about an object description I wrote on a Dogū figurine from the Jōmon period. It may doesn’t show on my blog but I can actually be quite demanding. The good thing is that it’s only around one more month and then I’m already on summer holidays! Or at least semi-holidays since I still have to write papers then. Yeah, that’s pretty much everything I can tell you about my life right now. :w:

It was one of those days when it’s a minute away from snowing and there’s this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. Right? .. just kidding, this is a quote from American Beauty. I always get to think about this passage of the movie when I start my sentences with “It was one of those days”. Actually it was one of those first really hot days when I thought that I need new dresses. I was on my way back home and like always had to take the tram that goes across all the city and I spontaneously got out and went for some shopping.

In the end I ended up buying only one simple white dress from h&m (not in the pic) because the others were too expensive for me. But I also finally got my beloved lace shorts!!! I’ve been craving shorts like these for ages and I feel lucky to finally have them. There’s also the navy coat in the upper right corner which I immediately fell for. It was love at first sight. And the picture under that shows the outfit I wore that day. … my eyebrows look crazy in that pic. Sorry for that! :oh:

Wearing out my neko flats~ :nekopaw:

This was a rather pointless flower and outfit post… I should post the pictures I take more regularly but I’m always afraid that they’re not special or “themed” enough but I guess that ist’s about what you make out of it.
I wish you all a fab weekend! And keep a stiff upper lip! .. ( but that probably applies more to me right now..)

byebye,

A cat in Milan

A cat in Milan
Hey there Cuties! :nekopaw:
How was your week? Last saturday I went to Lausanne for the Japan Impact, the convention I went to already two years ago. (Click and here and here to view the pictures~) I didn’t stay very long and although the costumes were great, I didn’t take any photos this time. Can’t really explain why but somehow I was too lazy to take decent pictures with that gloomy light. And I felt a little out of place with all the youngsters around me. :ainoonigiri: I’m getting too old for these kind of things! But let’s move on to the real reason for this entry.

My grandmother is quite fashion-conscious and has always had beautiful dresses and jewellery so when I go to Milan to visit her, I try to dress as neat and “Italian” as possible.

That’s not so much my usual dressing style, isn’t it? But the colors are the usual ones. Black, blue, red, white and brown are definitely the colors I wear the most. We spent the whole afternoon with strolling around the Duomo and in the shops and after a few hours my feet started hurting so badly that I barely was able to walk home. Even though or for the very reason that it was sunday, the stores were very crowded and I admired and appreciated Silvankun’s patience. In the end I only got a top from Mango which I can’t wait to wear when it will start getting warmer again.

Sorry for the tense facial expression. The sunlight was so bright! nyahaha my vampire skin & eyes didn’t like it. :klimper:

If you wonder where I’ve been the whole weekend long.. I discovered GAME OF THRONES. Ok, I know you’ve all mentioned it months ago in one way or an other but believe it or not, you’re raving about it let me cold. Don’t know why but somehow I thought it was a science fiction series and so it never crossed my mind to give it a try. Not that I have something against science fiction in general but yeah… So you can imagine what happened next. I lost all my weekend to Game of Thrones and I’m not even finished yet. :w: It’s redundant to write how much I love it?
Well so much that I even forgot to eat and drink. There’s enough nudity and sex but also love, envy, treason and most important: bloody brutality. awww :nope: The third season will premiere on March 31, 2013.

I’ll try and smile on the next photos, ok?

Oh, and on monday my new computer arrived! … yeah… I have all the reasons but no time to blog. But I’ll try to be better in the upcoming weeks!

byebye,

Totally off topic but how did you like the series (Game of Thrones)?! Did you act like an addictive personality as me or didn’t you enjoy it?

The 5 faces tag

The 5 faces tag
Hey there Beauties! :ii:
It’s been over a week since my last blog entry but I hope you forgive me! Thank you for all the darling comments on the bento and the sketches! Really, it means a lot to me and I’m so glad you feel positive about them.
Right now I’m on the train to I’ve arrived in Zermatt, a lovely winter sports resort right next to the beautiful and well-known Matterhorn.
I will update you with some impressions in a later entry~

Let’s move on to the main reason for this post, namely the ‘Five faces tag‘ that has been going around on several blogs. Lovely Noora :hoshi: tagged me (to be precise, I asked her to) over a month ago but I never had the time and patience to take pictures!
As it says in the name, it’s about posting five pictures of your face with different expressions. :etone: I’m actually quite picky when it comes to taking pictures of my face especially when it’s Silvankun because I can’t really concentrate on what I’m doing anymore. :jupp: So selcas are a good alternative.

1. Pouty 2. Duckie 3. umm? 4. Nyah, nyah!

After several attempts of taking pictures of my face in the bath room I finally found the perfect place: the fitting room!!! Have you ever noticed how good the lighting is in there? I felt like in a professional photo booth. Probably you already knew but I think it’s perfect for taking pictures of your face or outfit. I spent friday with ‘some’ ( actually, I can’t remember when I last went on such a shopping spree…) shopping in Konstanz so I had the opportunity to take some decently lighted pictures while trying on all the different things.
Can’t wait to wear all the lovely new pieces but for now I’m stuck with chunky jumpers and wool tights and snuggled up in a blanket on the couch while outside it’s snowing. Sounds cozy eh? :miam:
But here’s a little sneak peek of the F21 order from a week ago. The ware has already arrived! it’s amazing how fast they shipped it.

The swiss dotted dress fits perfectly but the beetle dress is a little tight.. and the color doesn’t really suits me.

So…. since I didn’t want to flood my instagram account with my bath room selca pics I decided to post some of them here. Noora :blinkheart: posted pictures of her bare face and I think that really brave in a world of false eyelasheshes, circle lenses and photoshop. I then actually checked out the other five bloggers before her who did this tag and they all seem to have taken pictures without or only a little makeup. Well I’m am an aesthetician and couldn’t bear having totally plain pictures of myself on the internet but to at least show a little bit of self-esteem (for this is ultimately a ‘campaign for self esteem’) here my no-makeup bath room selcas which I took while staying in Italy two weeks ago.

Of course I had to play with filters to make them at least a little bit aesthetic :klimper:

If you wonder why there are only four pictures although it’s called the five faces tag and well that’s because umm… first of all because of the layout (I wanted to show large images and not thumbnail-sized) and five is just not the perfect number for adjusting them. And second, because one of the other bloggers also posted only four and four is good enough.

Here are the rules:
:sprout: Post FIVE FACES of yourself – different expressions, different situations, different moods..
:sprout: Tag five friends
:sprout: Link back to the person who tagged you
:sprout: Have fun!

I tag Gretch :ichikeki: , Nic nic :lipstick: , Lou :on: , Mei :baburukeki: and Bella :bling: because I love their beautiful faces!

I hope I didn’t bore you with all the face pics but at least there’s a little clothing mixed in as well. :catexclam:
We arrived two days ago but we haven’t seen the majestic Matterhorn yet because its shrouded in snowy clouds but as soon as the mountain shows its face I will post the pics on insta! feel free to follow me, I’ll be posting many pictures of my snowboarding and the breathtaking scenery in the coming days.
