Wow! It’s been quite some time since my last Obento! I wasn’t in the mood for something too elaborate or cute today so it turned out quite simple but still colorful. Also, I’m excited about price-selector.us sunday! I still don’t know what I’m going to wear fot the Lolita Afternoon Tea. I hope I can go through what I have as soon as possible and make it look authentic enough. But in the end it’s about having fun with a bunch of people and I’m sure that we absolutely will!
I’m sleepy now and should go to bed so enjoy the Obento pictures and don’t get too hungry!
Ingredients: rice, red cabbage, white sesame, baby mais, tofu, pumpkin, catalogna, shrimps, Chikuwa and Crème fraîche
I stir-fried the red cabbage with some salt and deglazed it with rice vinegar. I finally added white sesame and a little bit of sesame oil. This vegetable goes great with Goma sauce! The pumpkin and catalogna were cooked with the rice cooker and seasoned with salt and olive oil. For the shrimps I used the usual: ginger, garlic and Katakuriko. The tofu was made in the same pan as the red cabbage but afterwards.
