Kuroneko Bento
Hello Sunshines! :heartame:
How are you doing? Moscow is huge, pretty tough and honestly, I’m happy to come home tomorrow. Nevertheless I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences with you guys!
This is a quick and hearty Bento I made shortly before leaving for Moscow. I was lurking around on tumblr and came across some breathtaking pictures of Bento that were so inspiring that I just had to get up and do one myself.

There is no special reason why I chose this Bento box but I noticed that I had only used it once so I gave it a second chance. You’ve probably seen that most of my boxes are square and black and that I rarely usecuteboxes although I really would like to! I just find it so much easier to choose the right colors and arrange them in a square box.. and a black background makes all the colors look much more vivid because of the contrast! An other reason is, that I want most of my Bento meals look traditional and using a traditionally shaped and colored boxes is very helpful for that.

I obviously love this Neko Bento box but because of the reasons I wrote above, I never really used it. Anyway, I will try to incorporate some of my never seen bento boxes in my future Bento meals! Hope you don’t mind… :omnom:
As you cans see, it’s a rather tasty Bento for a rather hungry person. Teriyaki chicken with Goma, wok vegetables and three little pickles in one tire and pimped up Tamagoyaki with some rocket and ketchup and two small Mediterranean skewers with Italian cheese, bell pepper and olives. I used rocket and parsley as decoration and to fill the gaps.

Hello Dear Readers! :twinkles:
I wanted to show you a little something of what I did during the last two weeks. I’m not the most reliable blogger because I keep going on mini hiatuses without notification but at least I keep making pictures of everything that captures my interest like a decent blogger. As you may know, I started a small vegetable patch a few weeks ago when I was in Italy. The trip is pretty long, to be precise, it takes about three to four hours to get there! During this trip we cross one sometimes two mountain passes to get over the Swiss alps. The weather and especially the vegetation change dramatically so I always like to take picture from the car window..

What I like about this scenery is the rough but still beautiful nature. I never grow tired of this sight and always discover something new in it. They’re probably not the conventional pictures of beautiful things but I find it interesting to look for beauty in no matter what. Enough said! I hope you enjoy the scenery as much as I did~ :iida:

There’s something that reminds me of horro movies in those pictures but maybe that’s just because I watched too many of them.

Hello Moscow!
Hello sweet peas! :omnom:
I feel so guilty for not blogging in such a long time! I missed reading your blog entries so much and can’t wait to catch up on them. Right now I’m in the middle of my admission examinations and on Sunday we’re leaving for Moscow but I’ll be back four days later and then I’ll blog like there’s no tomorrow!

Saturday and Sunday the JapAniManga Night is taking place in Winterthur and I would really love to go there but my entire weekend is so booked up! The flight to Moscow leaves Sunday evening so I may still have the time to go there for a couple of hours in the afternoon. And of course I will go on Saturday too as soon as my oral exam in geology is over… :ohnoo:
Anyway, there’s a lot to tell you but I have to get ready now for my English exam! I just wanted to give you guys a vital sign before leaving for Russia.

I love Lonely Planet travel guides :aiyo:

I’m pretty excited about this trip since it’s the first time I visit this country! I have no idea at all how it is.. Here’s a little Brainstorming of things that come to my mind when I think about Russia.. :blinkheart:
:twinkles: Snow, Vodka, Fur, Ushankas, Babushkas, Tsar, Rasputin, Russian Ballet, Gypsies, Horses, Folklore, Russian Orthodox Church, Colors, Soviet Union , Marx, Doctor Zhivago, :twinkles:
Not a lot, I know, but all things that fascinate me! :miam:
Have you ever been to Russia or Moscow? Any suggestions?
There are so many museums to visit I dodn’t even know where to start! Speaking of which, I inscribed myself to the University of Zurich for East Asian Art History with Japanese and Art History as secondary subjects. It was a though decision because I would have really loved to study biology but in the end I think that I will have more opportunities with East Asian History. Biology would have been more like a “heart decision” and East Asian Art History is more like a “brain decision”… we’ll see!! hehe.. :ghihi:

Can’t wait to be back and share all the impressions of Moscow with you!
